Sometimes Growth Isn't Creating Something New

It's Updating What No Longer Reflects Who You've Become

A funny thing happened this week.

I rewrote one of the first resources people receive when they discover Inpower.

Not because it wasn't working.

Not because there was anything wrong with it.

Because I'd outgrown it.

The original version was created at a very different stage of my journey.

It focused on movement, motivation and quick wins. It helped people slow down, breathe and create a little space for themselves.

But as I looked through it recently, something felt off.

Not because the advice and tools in it were wrong. As a qualified PT and Mental Health Coach everything in it was useful but...

Because it no longer reflected the conversations I'm having today.

Over the last year, through coaching, podcasting and my own personal growth, Ive become less interested in helping women "push through" and more interested in helping them understand themselves.

I've realised that most of us don't need another productivity hack.

We need awareness.

We need to understand the WHY?

WHY we find it difficult to rest.

WHY we keep ending up overwhelmed.

WHY we struggle to ask for help.

WHY we continue repeating patterns that no longer serve us.

So much of what we do isn't random.

It's protection.

The overworking.

The people pleasing.

The perfectionism.

The need to stay busy.

The need to stay in control.

Many of these behaviours began as ways to keep us safe.

The problem is that what once protected us can eventually start limiting us.

That's why the refreshed version of my free guide now follows the same framework that sits at the heart of Inpower:

Pattern. Protection. Power

First we notice the pattern.

Then we understand the pattern underneath it.

Only then can we step into our power and choose differently.

Because awareness creates choice.

And choice creates change.

As I was updating the guide, I realised something that goes far beyond coaching.

Growth isn't always about creating something new.

Sometimes growth is updating what no longer reflects who you've become.

Sometimes it's revisiting old beliefs.

Old habits.

Old stories.

Old identities.

And asking:

Does this still serve me?

Or am I simply carrying it because it's familiar?

The answer won't always be comfortable.

But it can be incredibly freeing.

So whether it's a free guide, a relationship, a habit, a job, or an old version of yourself, perhaps the question isn't:

"What do I need to create next?"

Perhaps it's:

"What no longer reflects who I'm becoming?"

Because sometimes the most powerful changes aren't additions.

They're updates.
